to critics of love

Yes, it exists. You may not like to believe it. You may not like to be a part of it. You may have never experienced it, or you may be saving yourself from the pain that comes with it. But no matter how far you run, you can't get away from it. Yes, it exists. It's what gives us incentive to be better people each day. It's what gives us motivation to change. It can really truly change the world.

No, it's not about finding the perfect person or the perfect people in our life. So how is it possible to fall in love with imperfect people? Every person has their imperfections, scars, a past, dreams for a future, and a sachet full of a bunch of things they will want to share with special people - mother, father, sister, brother, that best friend, or those; and that special someone. It is the idea of being with these people that will, together, complete our lives. Make us more whole, more complete. Make us cognizant of the world around us. Of the good in the world, and of the troubles of those less fortunate.

It's the process of learning beyond yourself. It's self-confidence. It's friends. It's sharing. It's more powerful than any potion, an elixir that will make your desires immortal, and your ambitions unstoppable. It's the way to finding yourself. We may fear the destruction that it has the capacity to bring with it, but the only thing that will bring that destruction, is that fear itself. The true nature of love will imbibe in us such strong qualities, of strength, courage, and vigor, that if and when believed in, the highest power itself will bend to the intense light of it. And so it is about raising yourself as a person, to a level of pure giving.

And the only way to escape it is to not believe in it. Just like all other things, love will not exist for those who will not believe.

Happy Valentines Day <3 data-blogger-escaped-p="">
