Ingredients   Serves: 12   Yield: 24 cookies

3/4 cup butter
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chocolate chips - I used mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Combine butter and brown sugar. Beat well.
  3. Add eggs, milk and vanilla to previous mixture. Beat for 30 seconds.
  4. Add flour, salt and baking soda in the same bowl and mix well to make sure no lumps remain.
  5. Add 1 cup chocolate chips and gently fold them in the batter.
  6. Drop tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. - I wish I had greased them though. It sticked a lot.
  7. Bake 10-15 minutes.
Because there was so much butter in this recipe, I actually let the leftover of the batter sit in the fridge overnight to harden a bit so that I could scoop out tablespoonfuls more easily. Without refrigeration, the cookies came out soft, but really thin and misshaped. After refrigeration, the cookies came out soft and round (picture above!).
